Strobus (Far East) Limited will strengthen its market position by entering a commercial, strategical partnership with Connected Finland, who will provide Sigfox enabled IoT-sensors for Strobus Hong Kong based clients. As part of the contract Strobus will offer to the market the world’s first Sigfox specific IoT-software platform as a SaaS concept for measuring and analysing sensor readings. The purpose of the strategical partnership is to fulfil the needs of the rapidly growing IoT-market in Hong Kong. In the start the co-operation will cover temperature, humidity, CO2, TVOC & PM sensors for air quality monitoring and motion sensors. The product range can easily be expanded with other product groups like smart smoke detectors and smart city solutions – just a few to mention.
The sensors in the signed multi-year contract will utilize the local low power wide area (LPWAN) IoT-network based on the Sigfox standard that covers more than 90% of Hong Kong by Connected Finland’s collegial Sigfox operator Thinxtra Ltd. In total more than 60 Sigfox operators are active around the globe.
Strobus will offer the unique SaaS-platform as a crucial part of the super-efficient energy controlling tool in order to optimize energy consumption in Hong Kong with over 8 million inhabitants. Real time information of existing temperatures and humidity levels will bring in millions of savings within a short time perspective.
